Student of the Month Story

Who- Emma Day
What- Won student of the month
When- the month of march
Where- Bowie High School
Why- Emma behaves well in class and gets good grades
How- Teachers picked her

On March 1, 2014, Mr. Kane announced the student of the month for March at Bowie High School. Sophomore, Emma Day was honored to have received the student of the month award.
Emma is an outstanding student who behaves well in class and gets nothing but good grades. All of Emma’s teachers picked her to be student of the month because they saw what a great student she was in class.
Emma was surprised when Mr. Kane announced her name to receive the award. “I was really happy and honored when I was chosen for student of the month”, said Emma.
There are a lot of responsibilities that come with being student of the month.  Emma believes that she should be a role model to others. The honor strives her to do better “because most people will look up to me” says Emma.
Though, student of the month can be a fun award that every student wants it can also be stressful.  “You have to turn in work on time, get really good grades, and behave well” says Emma.
Emma is the type of person who works “really hard to achieve her goals and it takes a lot of time and effort” to achieve them. But she will do whatever it takes to make them happen.
I asked Emma what it meant to be student of the month and she believes it’s when “teachers respect your hard work and you stand out”. I can agree with her on that.
Ever since Emma received the student of the month award she says, “People bow down to me” whenever they see her.
Not only is Emma an outstanding student and a star at school but she is also involved in competitive cheer outside of school.
Anyone can be student of the month if you just put your mind to it “Just study hard for your tests“, says Emma.
